The Fraternal Order of Police's Grand Lodge is bringing their National Conference for law enforcement officers from around the country right here to Louisville, KY and Lodge 25 is proud to be the host lodge.  It will be held at the Kentucky International Convention Center, 221 4th St on

Golf Scramble
August 12th 2007 ~ Sunday

"The sun shines brightly on our old Kentucky home" and hopefully on our golf scramble which will be held at
Iroquois Golf Course, (1501 Rundill Road), promptly at 1:00pm.  Course pro and friend of the Lodge, Paul Schuchard, coordinates our FOP shop-with-a-deputy scramble, and other law enforcement tournaments every year. Come out and enjoy an afternoon of golf, fun, and fraternalism. Paul’s staff will be grillin’ up some burgers, chicken, and brats. There will be plenty 
of refreshments, prizes, and divots. We will have prizes for first, second, and third places. There will also be
door prizes, and a golf memento for each player. The scramble will be on a first come, first served basis, so get your money and registration in as soon as possible. The format will be a four-man team.  * $300.00 a team or $75.00 per person (which includes your green fee, cart, lunch, beverages, and prizes).

Louisville Bats Baseball - FOP Night
August 12th 2007 ~ Sunday
FOP Night at Louisville Slugger Field as the Bats take on the Norfolk Tide at 6:15 PM. Jake the Diamond Dog will be there entertaining the crowd in between innings. Tickets will be less than the usual $6.00 due to our Group Price Discount.

Easter Seals Poker Tournament
August 12th ~ Sunday

FOP Chicago Lodge 7, (www.chicagofop.org), is sponsoring a poker tournament to raise money for Easter Seals.
For every seat sold, Easter Seals will earn $15.00; and with only 100 seats available you'll need to register as soon as possible! The tournament will be held at Caesar's Casino in Elizabeth Indiana, (14 miles away from the convention center), cards in the air at 1900 hours and the entry fee is $125.00. For more details contact: marypat@chicagofop.org.

FOP Pistol Match
August 13 ~ Monday

This will be a shooting competition held at the Louisville Metro Police Range.  We would like to have one
competitor from each state.  These competitors will be selected by each state lodge's president.  All participants will be shooting Glock 35 Pistols provided by Glock Inc., and holsters provided by Armor Holdings. The targets used will be B-27 Silhouettes with scoring rings.  All targets will be scored by Louisville Metro Police and Jefferson County Sheriff's range staff.  In the event of a tie,
the winner will be determined by X-Ring count.  All participants must register at the FOP host lodge conference booth at the Convention Center.  This event is free and transportation will be provided.  Vans will leave from the Convention Center promptly at 12:00 noon.

Gone Shopping!
August 14 ~ Tuesday

Starting At 9:30 AM we will have shuttles leaving from the Convention Center for a little retail therapy at the
Mall St. Matthews which is home to more than 120 stores.  With shops like Aeropostale, Ann Taylor Loft, Arhaus, Aveda, bebe, Brooks Brothers, Brookstone, Harold's, J. Jill, Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma this trip should have something for everyone.  Shuttles will return at 2:00 PM.  To sign up for this event visit the host lodges booth at the Convention Center and make sure
you leave your credit card with your spouse!

Day at the Zoo
August 15 ~ Wednesday
For those of you bringing your kids to this year's convention we have scheduled a day at The Louisville Zoo which has over 1,300 animals exhibited in their natural settings. See family favorites like gorillas, lions, tigers and polar bears, penguins, hundreds of colorful birds and so much more.
There is a small fee for this event.  Again we will provide transportation to and from the
Convention Center, leaving there at 9:30 AM and returning at 2:00 PM.  To sign up for this event visit the host lodges booth at the Convention Center.

Hotel Reservations
Lodge 25 can handle all your hotel reservation needs regardless of size. But you need to hurry, because rooms are going fast.  State Lodges only should contact Ray Nichter, (rnichter@kyfop25.org), to book your rooms.
